Friday Poems / ShortPoems 17.03.2017 / 22.07.2016

Freight trains
    endless
freight trains
roll
and
roll
safe
those
already
waiting
on the
the
    stabling
siding

Axe
    the axe
that
fells
the tree
just
hurts
the stick
because
it is
    the child
of the tree

Rocket
    just like
the
big
Saturn V
starting
slowly
life
first
barely
moves
then
always
moving
    quicker and
quicker

Old age
    this
scratch
in the throat
the
breaking
of
the voice
Is
again
    vocal
change

Compassion
    above
church
cemetery
the open grave
the clouds
creep
Away
Silently
and
    pour down
In the mountains

Gulls
    do the
gulls
follow
the
ships
or
do they have
all
something
    something else
in mind

Five Tibetan Rites
    would
the
five
Tibetan rites
be
as
successful
if called
five Iraqi
five Spanish
    or five
Tongan rites

To be taxed
    and it came
to pass
that
all
the world
should be
taxed
and
every one
went
to his own
    vehicle registration
center

Buchheim
    now there
are
houses
where
previously
we had
a parish fair
for a
short
time
but
normally
puddles
    no, deep
wet holes

Cigarette
    the e-cigarette
is
no
cigarette
because
it
can’t
be
the last
    in the
box

Friday Poems had been written in German and had been developed for Twitter. I have translated some of these poems into English.
